Daxxify at IV Lounge CT is $10 per unit. Your total depends on the areas treated and the number of units you need, which your injector will go over at your consultation. Daxxify units are not the same as Botox units.

• Avoid: For 48 hours prior, avoid alcohol and any blood-thinning medications like aspirin or ibuprofen to prevent bruising. (Consult your doctor before stopping prescribed medication.)
• Arrive: Come to our South Windsor office with a clean, makeup-free face.
• Plan: Be ready to discuss your aesthetic goals with our expert injector.

Many patients start to notice results within a few days, with full effects in about 1 to 2 weeks.

To help your treatment settle well, please avoid the following for the first 24 hours:

• Don't touch, rub, or massage the treated area.
• Don't engage in strenuous exercise, saunas, or hot tubs.
• Don't lie down for the first 4 hours after treatment.
• Don't consume alcohol.

Daxxify contains a purified form of botulinum toxin type A, the same family as Botox. It uses a peptide-based formula instead of human serum albumin. It temporarily relaxes targeted muscles to soften lines.

Daxxify is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding because there are not enough studies confirming its safety during these periods. Talk with your doctor before considering treatment.

Yes. Daxxify is FDA-approved to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in adults. Other cosmetic areas are considered off-label, and your injector will explain what that means for you.

We use Daxxify at IV Lounge CT. It is an FDA-approved neuromodulator in the same family as Botox and is used to soften many of the same lines. If you have had Botox before, your injector will talk with you about how Daxxify compares.

Skip blood thinners: Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and other anti-inflammatories for about 24 hours after treatment, since they can increase bruising. Acetaminophen is fine for discomfort. Always follow your provider about any prescribed medications. 

Avoid laying down: Stay upright and avoid lying down for about 4 hours after your treatment. 

Avoid Scrubbing or Rubbing your face: Wait about 24 to 48 hours before you decide to rub and scrub your face. This helps protect your results.

Don’t wear makeup for 12 hours: Post injection waits at least 12 hours before you apply makeup to avoid irritation.

Many patients come back about every 6 months, though some need treatment sooner or later. Your injector will help you plan a schedule.
